I
am still a beginner in the sport of women's bodybuilding. 2006 will
be my 3rd year competing... wow...my 3rd year already! I just started
preparing for the Jr. Nationals in Chicago.

courtesy of
FTVideo.com I started bodybuilding as rehabilitation. When I was 18
I got this neurological disease called Guillan-Barre Syndrome. It pretty
much wiped me out. It got so bad that I was in a wheel chair for about
a month before any doctor could diagnose me with anything. Once I was
diagnosed, I was put in the hospital for a week and then put in rehab. I was so active when I got sick (I played volleyball,
rugby, boxing, and softball), it must have helped my rehabilitation
go smoothly and quickly. I started lifting weights in the gym after
I was released from rehab and fell in love with it. From there, I did
my first show and now I have a pretty good competition history:
- Excaliber, 2nd in Novice, December 2003
- Collegiate Nationals, 1st in Heavyweights and Overall, July 2004
- Ohio State Championship, 1st in Heavyweights, September 2004
- Motor City, 1st in Middleweights and Overall, August 2005
- North American, 3rd in Light-Heavy Class, September 2005
