Demica started her career as an athlete at age 8 as a competitive cheerleader, participating in the University Cheerleading Association championships. She continued her athletic passion by participating in band, track and finishing with basketball at Murray State University in 1998.
Weight training was introduced to her while playing basketball in Middle School at CADET and has since been an intricate part of her life.
While fighting life's ups and downs, weight training has remained a consistent aid in stimulating mental focus. In 2005 friend, trainer, mentor and bodybuilder James Davis inspired her to use her 6'2" stature to pursue figure competing. She was challenged to excel her training to competitive levels by fine tuning eating habits, increasing training knowledge, intensity and mental toughness.
She entered her first figure competition in June 2005 in Jackson, Mississippi. As a result, she now more than ever appreciates the importance of mind/body connection training and strengthening.
Her passion is to train and shape her mind, body and spirit to exude symmetry, balance and condition and help others do the same.
She completed National Personal Training Institute with a Master Personal Trainer Degree May 2006. She is founder of Fountain of Youth Fitness, LLC; Fitness Consultant for Osceola Woman's Newspaper and her passion and excitement for figure competing continues to grow.
