I
was born and raised in Beirut, Lebanon in the Middle East.
I
am a Senior Production Artist and owner of Art and Athletes, Inc.
I
was very athletic growing up and very competitive in nature. I played a variety
of sports from high and long jump to volleyball and competitive table tennis.
I am also an avid swimmer.

I was training for marathons in my
later teens which led to severe malnutrition and bad feet problems. Those unfortunate
circumstances led me to the weight room. I am naturally a heavy build with explosive
strength and so my infatuation with the iron at the time turned into a fiery passion.
I started out as a powerlifter and later on transitioned into bodybuilding. Today,
I am an eternally faithful disciple of the iron game.
I did
not start out with the sole intention of competing. My drive was a direct result
of my love for the sport. Considering I come from a very conservative culture,
it was hard for me to express myself as I saw fit. The Untied States opened the
door of opportunity to me to finally mold myself into the woman I wanted to be.
And so after refining my physique for a few years, I decided to take it to the
next level and give competitive bodybuilding a shot. When you put your heart and
soul into the things you love, you are bound to do great things. And so I am optimistic
about the course I have chosen in my life.
I typically stick
to a 5 days split. Usually a push/push system with larger body
parts trained
earlier on in the week. My split looks something like this:
Monday ~ Back
Tuesday
~ Chest
Wednesday ~ Legs
Thursday ~ Shoulders
Friday ~ Arms
When
I am using a 4 days split, I get to hit any particular body part I am trying to
Improve
on twice a week. So 5 training days regardless of my split. I do 30 minutes of
cardio post workout in the off-season and 45 min of cardio twice a day in-season.
I
love bent over rows, either barbell or bumbbells. I love a big back and so I thoroughly
enjoy training it. Can't say there is anything I do not enjoy training. I love
it all. I have trouble training my arms though because I have tendonitis in both
forearms, but that is a pain I can live with and thrive on.
My
legs are my best body part, definitely. They are about 30" around in the
off-season and about 28" cut down. I can press 1000+ lbs and squat 405lb
for reps. I have an outer sweep development that I am very proud of.
I
am 5'5"
200lb off-season
165lb contest
Measurements cold are:
Biceps
17", Calves 17" (good proportions there)
Quads 29.5", Shoulders
52", Chest 46"
I enjoy the discipline of the diet
in-season and thoroughly enjoy my cheat meals in the off-season. I diet about
8 months out of the year and never cheat and so I really appreciate a good meal
when I have it.
I wake up early in the morning to train and
do my cardio, then I shower, eat, and tend to my clients. I work my life around
my work and my training with little time for anything else and enjoy structured
regimens. All my meals are timed as are my hours for rest and playtime at the
gym. I may take a drive over the weekend to enjoy the fresh air and reflect.
I
am a published amateur writer and pro classical pianist. I like to paint and write
music, or even enjoy a good educational read when I am not training.
I
enjoy being able to express myself as a strong woman, both in mind and body. The
psychological reward far surpasses the physical rewards for me. Though a hard,
strong and feminine body is very much rewarding on its own ;-)
I
was a ballerina.
My competitive goals are to bring the best
package I possibly can to the stage in '08. I would like to place well and perhaps
turn pro and compete with some of the best female bodybuilders in the world someday.
That is what drives me as an athlete. My personal goals would be to maintain a
healthy balance in my life to where I can make time for the people around me who
support what I do and who believed in me from day one. You need love to find love
in everything. Now that I am in the US and this is my grand debut ;-)
