From
a National Fitness Compeitor to a National Bodybuilder Champion!
Personal
History:
I was born and raised in Miami, Florida.
A foster child for the first 10 years of my life, suffering much abuse in a system
that did not care, I rose above the circumstances to be extremely successful.
Throughout
my life, I have had a very competitive spirit. My greatest accomplishments are
my two daughters: Lena, Lauren and my new granddaughter, Haylah Grace.
I
participated in a couple of body building competitions in the 1980's, winning
best poser and first place. After raising my girls, I had the desire to get back
into some kind of competition. Always in a gym, a trainer suggested that I participate
in fitness. Not knowing what it was, I went to view it. I was hooked. I have since
participated in five competitions, one local, one state, and two national.
I
have become an inspiration to many women who see me as a grandmother able to perform
and look the way I do. This has served as an inspiration as well. No longer for
only the contest, I now compete to inspire other women both young and young hearted
to be the best that they can be.
