Zdena's been doing sports since her childhood. She started with track and field at 10 years of age - hurdle and javelin - all together 8 years.

Simultaneously she played tennis for 3 years. In Skoda Plzen team she tried women's ice hockey as well.

Zdena graduated from technical high school, then met Mrs. Jarka Kastnerova who was doing bodybuilding after year 1989 and who persuaded Zdena to try the stage as she saw Zdena had great preconditions for bodybuilding.

In 1990 it was the first try for Zdena at local championship in Pilsner - she won. She qualified for the national championship where she gained the second place. She was accepted to the short list of the national team and her train set off...

At her first world championshop she ended at the 8th place. From 8 world championships there are two 3rd places and three 2nd places and finally there is one gold medal from 2002 Brno, Czech Republic. In 2002 she became a professional competitor. At her first pro-competition - Night of Champions in New York - she ended on the second place.

Zdena likes skiing, playing tennis, basketball, football, and actually she enjoys all the team sports. This year she was in Alps skiing and relaxing. Her closest friends are the most precious thing in the world in her life! She works in Profi Fitness Eva in Pilsen as a trainer, this is also the place where she has been preparing for all the competitions for past 14 years of her career. She loves animals, there's a lot of them at her home - dog, tortoise, prairie dogs, chameleon, she loves nature, trips behind the borders of the common days.

She likes travelling. Her driving force is Eva Sukupova (8 times at NOC), who was her sparring partner for 7 years. Nowadays she prefers to train on her own or with Barbora Mrazkova (3 times at NOC). Her sport idol has always been Lenda Murray, která má who has - in Zdena's opinion - one the most perfect figures - though there are a lot of great athletes.

Zdena does not like selfishness, insincereness, falsity, messiness and disturbing her privacy.
